Good Health is Glamorous!
There is something to be said for taking care of yourself and feeling confident in the body you were born with, regardless of your age.
Growing older is a natural process that I have embraced. This certainly isn’t the case for others in my age group.

In an effort to look better, many of my associates spend their money on beauty products and cosmetic surgery, completely disregarding their health status. I do not want to be one of those 40-something year olds who believe that these are the only options available to look and feel younger. Instead I have implemented a few simple things to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
1. Be mindful of what you eat and drink! Make sure you are providing your body with the nutrients it needs to stay strong and healthy. Drink lots of water to flush bacteria and toxins out of your system.
2. Engage in physical activity at least 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes! Regular physical activity helps people live longer and feel better. It will also help keep you in those speedoz for a little while longer.
3. Meditate daily! Meditation helps you assess you mental health status and stress level. A health mind is part of a healthy body.
4. Get plenty of rest! Dark circles that were temporary in your twenties can become a permanent fixture in your forties. Try to get at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep per night.
5. Leave the drugs and tobacco alone and limit alcohol consumption! This can improve health and save money. Drinking and smoking kicks the body’s clock into overdrive and makes you look older than you are.
6. Practice safe sex and reduce risk taking behaviors! It is always better to be safe than sorry. Some things you get… you are stuck with for life.
7. Get regular health care! An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. Health care providers are experts at preventing illnesses and should be consulted on an annual basis.
There are few things more important in life than your health. While living a healthy lifestyle may seem easy, it does require a lot of planning and dedication. The trick to healthy living is making small changes to your lifestyle. Drastic changes almost always lead to failure. Start with small changes like walking more, adding fruit to your cereal, and having a couple extra glasses of water a day.
Taking these small steps can lead to a longer, happier, and more youthful life without the expense of beauty aids and more drastic measures.
