After a weekend of rain, meteorologists forecast sunny skies and a high of 77 degrees for AIDS Run & Walk 2008, which will take place Saturday, September 20 at Grant Park.This high-profile event will feature dancers, deejays, a condom give-away and cast members from Chicago's "Wicked" and "Jersey Boys."
As of September 10, a record 2,406 people have pre-registered for this year's event. (At the same time last year, the event had 1,948 pre-registrants.) More than 7,000 people are expected to turn out for this year’s event. We hope you'll join us. Proceeds benefit the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and nearly 100 community-based AIDS organizations.
