I'm amazed at how many people work 40 or more hours a week and manage to stay sane and healthy. I have the great privilege of working as a massage therapist out of my home, touching people every day, doing lots of self-care and continuing education programs, and spending relaxed time with those I love.
One trick is to learn how to reduce expenses and live more simply -- got rid of my car, joined a CSA and now cook at home, buy used clothes, live with other people . . .
I think our individualist, workaholic, consumer culture is THE ENEMY of health and wellness.
