I believe health is a fluid thing, with some days being better than others for me.
My overall health is important to me because it's the foundation by which my quality of life is measured. I try to prioritize taking care of my health by avoiding illicit drugs, getting enough sleep, exercising, laughing, and taking personal time be quiet and sit still.
As a sexually active gay male, there are a ton of temptations to take sexual risks with a hot guy. By making me the priority, I have made a decision to eliminate some risks, blocking out many life stressors, and simply surrounding myself by good people.
At age 39, I'm happy to say I've never had an STD. Now if I could just manage chocolate chip cookies, that would be huge!
Baby steps...baby steps.
