• Shape national HIV/AIDS policy priorities.
• Meet your members of Congress and their staffs.
• Tell your story.
• Rally and network with other people living with HIV from around the country.
What will we talk about?
We will ask for leadership from the President and Congress to address HIV-related stigma and reverse Bush administration policies and laws that harm people living with HIV/AIDS. We will talk about the importance of access to affordable, quality health care for all. We will request more funding for testing, care, treatment, prevention, research, and housing programs. We will advocate for the creation of a science-based, comprehensive national AIDS strategy.
What if I don’t know how to do this?
We will train you! There will be a half-day training on our legislative priorities and on effective ways to share your story with lawmakers.
