Rich and Robust - Chicago Gay History is Second to None

The Chicago Gay History Project has launched, a volunteer project headed by Windy City Times Publisher Tracy Baim. The Web site is now online at www.ChicagoGayHistory.Org, but it's in a "soft" launch. Check under the BIOGRAPHIES button to see hundreds of videos. Over the summer, more people and thousands of articles will be added. Official launch is Sept. 27, noon at Center on Halsted, with a kick-off party.

A companion book, Out and Proud in Chicago: An Overview of the City's Gay Community, edited by Tracy Baim, features nearly 400 photos and dozens of major writers. It will be available this summer from Surrey Books.
