Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) announced late yesterday afternoon that she plans to offer an amendment on the House floor to reinstate protections for transgender people to the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). The sexual orientation-only version of the legislation, H.R. 3685, is currently scheduled for a markup in the full House Education and Workforce Committee on Thursday.
The U.S. House is expected to have a floor vote on ENDA next week.
