GUYZ launches

The Gay Urban Youth Zone (GUYZ) Project is a project of the AIDS Committee of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is a 26 month endeavour funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada. The GUYZ Project is designed to educate young gay men about HIV, STIs and Hep C through various initiatives. It also works to inform service providers of issues that young gay men face.

Over the past 17 months the Project has developed a comprehensive online educational tool (designed by AppleCore) to target young gay men, and also act as a resource for anyone. The website touches on issues of sexuality, self esteem, sexual orientation, prevention; Hepatitis, HIV, and STIs, as well as testing information.
