Casa Collective is HOUSE and Home

Meet Washington, DC's Monte of Casa Collective

Music has been in Monte’s blood since birth. It is his security blanket. It is there as a celebration, as an element that takes over regardless of his mood. His serious love of the production of music began when he attended the Latin School of Chicago. It was during that time in his life that he was introduced to House Music. This was the beginning of a whole new path for Monte. With his new vision and a focused determination, Monte went to Oberlin College Conservatory of Music to hone his skills. Once a move to New York took place, everything was aligned and his career began to blossom.

Life abruptly took a turn September 11th, 2001 and he joined the US Army, Special Ops. In the Army he learned a lot about himself, life, and how precious life is. Through the long process of recovering from a near fatal combat injury there came a spark of an idea, which was later blown into a flame when Monte was Honorably Discharged from the Army. Going back to his security blanket, Monte decided that music was the most positive way he could live life and affect others in a positive way.

So he created Casa Collective, LLC.

"A HOME where everyone is welcome, and NO one is a stranger! A home built upon a solid foundation, and that foundation is called HOUSE!"

Casa Collective is an event production company in the truest sense of the word, event. Casa Collective’s events are not just merely a bar and a disc jockey. The productions created are unique combinations of theme, ideas, dreams and entertainment, taking each event to a level that is never duplicated. Local, national, and international talents, as well as Project Seedling students supply the entertainment for each event. When you walk into a Casa Collective event you are entering another dimension and space.

Project Seedling, a subsidiary of Casa Collective, is a mentoring and scholarship program designed to support local recording arts students and give them a solid academic foundation. This is only possible by growing their core academic subjects as well a music education, including Music Theory, Composition, Studio Recording, and Music Business, in efforts to gain entrance to the top schools of music and recording arts.

You can find his energizing beats at http://www.casacollective.com or via pod-cast, by searching for Casa Collective Radio™, free, through iTunes™.
